slight argument at work, do you have to have potatoes with your meal to make it complete

for example (although i now want chicken tikka) i have chicken pie for dinner and will have that with carrots, broc, peas. I am being told that i have to have some form of potato with it or its not a meal. to me the pastry acts as my carbs and i don;t need anything else

whale will bring home chick curry and rice and chips - i don't get this???

swede is gorgeous, I feel the same about swede as I do about chocolate

I love swede...

Mashed swede, black pepper and loads of butter...

My son eats it like he's never eaten before...so so funny...
We have Stwnch Rwdan (pronounced stoonsh roodan) which is mashed potato with swede - lovely with braising steak. But I do like potatoes with my pies.

Of course pie goes with potatoes

Meat and tatie pie or Cornish Pastie (and not fish) with chips from the chippie every time for me
I like minced beef and onion pie or steak and ale pie and always have potatoes, and preferably cabbage or cauliflower AND carrots.

mmm chick and ham hock sounds lush, where from crafty or are you making it?

i have no idea how you do it, i just can;t eat that much carbs in one go, i get full to quickly
lol no I don't make that one................it's Tesco's Finest.
Nope anything you want is a meal. Given that many diets these days forgo potatoes, I would think many people eat meals without.
