I usually rely on my mum to cook my tea (lazy I know, but I work late!) well I'm home alone now and have no idea what to cook for tea tonight. I want to do something that is quick as I'm so tired after work and can't be bothered standing in the kitchen for ages. Any ideas?

heat up a tin of soup and have it with bread, scrambled egg on toast, beans on toast
Casey, you might find a slow cooker useful. They take a bit of an adjustment in thinking to get into the habit of using them, but you could prepare something (a bit, not hours) in advance, and then set it all going to cook while you are at work. Then you get in and it's there ready for you!

Fast!!! - don't eat anything, yet meditate on the idea you had a lamb roast with pumpkin, potatoes, carrots and peas and smothered in a rich thick gravey!
