i was just thinking the same! what about a nice casserole and some jacket spuds.
i'm doing beef (left over from yesterday) bagguettes with salad the kids love them

Tonights menu is:

Chicken (marinaded in bbq sauce) Kebabs with courgettes, red pepper, onions and tomatoes served with vegetable rice.

asciwhite, are you a chef? you recently left me a lovely recipe of cod in parsley sauce (which was lovely by the way) or is cooking just a hobby? Trying to get into it myself :)

lizwizz, tonight we're having spaghetti carbonara!

Hi treacle84, no I'm not a chef, but I did have a small cafe in an indoor antiques market where I just cooked home made food. I'm so glad you made the cod in sauce, I was wondering how that went....
I'm making delia smith's fish pie. Yummy and easy!
got some lamb left over from yesterday roast - any suggestions?
I am having scullen skink anyone know what that is ?
Eat out!!!!!!!!!
Hi wendilla, I thought it was cullen skink and I'd love for someone to cook that for me! did you ever make your cheesecake?

Good ol' bangers and mash for me tonight.

Bramley apple and pork sausages with mustard mash.

But, it could've quite easily have been bubble n squeek.

asci white, do you make your own BBQ sauce & if so,may I have the recipe. I fancy that tonight, but lots of other tasty ideas for the rest of the week. Thanks everyone.

Hi lizwizz,

Many appologies........

I'm cheating tonight I'm afraid to say... I am using Paul Newmans sticky BBQ Marinade, why? because it's in the cupboard! and I can't remember all the ingredients for chinese marinade!!!! honey, white wine vinegar, garlic, onions, worcester sauce and something I can't think of! and it had to be made the day before... lol I'll send Mr asci up into the attic for my book later : )

cullen skink smoked haddock baked in oven with onions and milk and seasoning you can add few red and green peppers if liked. serve with mash or boiled potatoes.
asciwhite i think you are mixing me up with someone else i didnt have the cheese cake recipe but would appreciate it thanks

sorry wendilla, it was for drusilla! I put it on here and there are lots of other yummy ones on there too....

Just wondering asciwhite, for the cod in parsley sauce, how big is the tub of masarpone?

Normal sized tub spacechimp about 200ml.... : )
thank you :D

wendilla, your recipe for cullen skink is certainly not traditional although I'm sure it is delicious. Tonight I'm having the rest of my (non-trad) cullen skink that I made last night.

Softened finely chopped onions in small amount of oil then added crushed garlic and gently fried for a few more minutes (don't let it brown).

Added finely sliced potatoes and carrots, black pepper plus water and simmered for about 20 minutes.

Rough mashed potatoes and carrots without draining and then added cubes of undyed smoked cod loin, parsley, milk and jumbo raw prawns. Bring back to a simmer until fish and prawns are just cooked. Serve with lots of crusty bread.
