....when I got out of my taxi at the hotel in Liverpool a strand from the large ball of wool at the top of my shoulder bag got caught aroung the zip on my suitcase and the handle of the taxi door......

I had reached the hotel door before a man pointed it out to me.....and luckily the taxi driver hadn't driven off....

It was one of those large balls of Aldi Aran wool.....it would have covered half of Liverpool and unravelled what I'k knitted on the train had he driven away.....
He was a nice young lad.....and smiled patiently as he watched me wind up what I could and unwrap it from his door..... :-)

I fancy a tiny spot of wine. In fact I might open a bottle of Cristal to go with the blinis and caviar we're having tonight. I'll ask the Butler to go and fetch me a bottle ;-)

Wine has been had, Marval.......and an extra glass now after getting out of the lift on the wrong floor and getting completely lost........the folk in room 304 were surprised to find the little wet Irish lady chuntering away trying to open their door with her door card.....x

We're on foot, Parsley so have made no plans yet.....other than do the touristy bit around the docks and visit The Cavern.....the weather will decide how far we go.....
I do fancy New Brighton though....

Never liked gin till I tried some a week or so ago....flavoured gin. It was lovely so I'm happy for another taster.....x

You could get the ferry (cross the Mersey ;- ) ) to Seacombe and then walk towards New Brighton along the prom. It will be a brisk walk but, fortunately, there are a few pubs in which you can shelter from the wind and the waves, and of course sample their liquid wares!!
