She's coming home.
Today I will get to see my great granddaughter who was born in Sweden on Christmas eve. I am absolutely over the moon and so is the whole family.
How is it possible to love someone who you have never seen?
Since when did babies have to have their own passport?

Oh, how lovely, leah!

It's been some years since everyone has to have a passport, irrespective of age.
What joy for you - I know when mine were working abroad and came home for good with the children , it was magical again.

Be happy.x
oh Leah!! wonderful!!

Is it just for a visit or for good?

I don't know how it's possible to love someone you've never me, but when you love your daughter/son/grand-daughter/grandson the love spills over :-D
oh how lovely!

Make sure you get lots of kisses and cuddles in :-)

Only here for a week I'm afraid, mum is Swedish and my grandson has a job there, so we will have to make the most of it

Thank you Anne. They arrived safe and sound ,no trouble from baby at all. It can't be pleasant sitting near a screaming baby for two hours so mum and dad were quite relieved. I was the one crying when I first saw her, she is beautiful.
Congradulations, cherish every moment. It must be amazing to see so many generations of your family flourish and what a great country to be born in, she now has duel nationality too.

This post has brightened a dullish day. :-)

Aww thank you so much you are all very kind.I went to Sweden two years ago for the wedding and was very happy to meet the brides family who are pretty much the same as ours. Because I lost my husband so young I have been very close to my grandchildren and looked after them while my daughters were at work.
Just discovered today that swedes don't bother with baby baths, baby gets into the bath with either one of the parents!
I used the kitchen sink when mine were young, did anyone else?
I am very pleased for you.
Toilet for me, if I was lucky.
Great news Leah, enjoy your cuddles. We used the sink and for the grandkids, saved your back.
