We are holding on for as long as possible and are wearing more layers of clothing and to be honest we are getting quite used to it now.

Thats ok then Ken. Just I have seen a nasty case of CO poisoning (if thats the right word) and it happens so quickly.

CH shoulnt take the oxygen out the air, it tends to dry it and of course if too hot does make you feel drowsy.
Use mine when needed - not gonna be uncomfortable when, with gos subsidies, I won't be paying more than last year.

September must have been a bit colder than Sep 2021 - I used a bit more gas.
Interesting, we used less and no we haven't been careful or changed our habits at all.
Woofy that's what we do. We never set the timing program.
I'm still in my shorts :)
Granted I'm not in my t-shirt anymore - I'm earing an extra layer on my top half .... but I'm sat here in shorts, t-shirt and a fleece. Back to work tomoz, working outside up and down them ladders ..... and I'll be wearing shorts and a fleece and maybe a gilet as well.
Cold or not, Giz...you just like showing off those legs... ;-)
I haven't started shutting the windows yet.
Not that cold yet here in South London. Electric blanket on though!
No not yet.

I've been rumbled :P
I only got back from Spain about 10 days ago, so I'm still showing off what's left of my tan :)
Oh Lord! Not only gorgeous legs...but tanned too. :-(
Yes I had mine on to blow away the chill left by my painter who is doing exterior work & leaving my front door open.
But you haven't told us if he was wearing shorts, Sharon. ;-)
Nope - holding out and hopefully see some government dosh before I really have to lash out....
What Central Heating ?

A ridiculous Marketing Con perpetrated on a gullible public.
I've mentioned it before but I turned my thermostat down from 20 to 19 so my heating just comes on if it goes under 19......which it did last week.
seriously, a really good tip, get one of these, they look good, mine is a velvety-grey, and really works well, 2-3p an hour in running costs and very warm that they are. I was given one last winter and have greatly appreciated it.

Haven't used it yet this autumn.....
Ours went on today after a repair to a radiator. The plumber was checking that it heated properly. It was stifling! It was 18 degrees outside and he had to turn the thermostat really high to ensure that the boiler kicked in. Phew!
Gness, he was fully wrapped up in dungarees!! Nothing to see, but costing me a small fortune in tea & coffee!!!
