Skippings very good.....and swimming.
i bought myself a rope craft, thinking it would be as fun as when i was a kid. I got bored. I dance about the house, but walking was best way i ever lost weight.
I must admit that the skipping is too much for my knees............I have a huge treadmill in the garage and put very loud music on (the dog thinks I'm mad)
Double ropes. that will keep you going.
I second the skipping thing. That's why boxers are SO fit!

Swiming is good... if you can swim.
LOL. poor doggy :-( . did You ever use that treadmill?
For Funks Sake. I meant swimming, obviously. Still... better than swinging I suppose :P
Sex is supposed to be a very good calorie absorber, if swinging is your thing!
No, DT. Swinging is definitely not my thing!
I used to walk eight miles a day. Being the disorganised person I am I usually did that walk in a major rush...
Jeez! That's some walk!
jeez, thats two hours on the feet-planks - impressive - in "Death-Crew," we used to say four miles an hour and a 1000 feet of elevation would take 20 minutes....
It was divided. It was probably a bit further than that. It was walking my son to school. Just over 2 miles each way, twice a day...

I don't do that anymore.... :-(
Ummmm, where were you walking to? And... was it by choice or "needs must"? That is indeed impressive :-)
To school. No direct buses. If we did get the bus it actually took longer...so was quicker to walk.
I feel sorry for the little boy ummmm, hell of a walk for a little one.

I've got to get rid of a lot of weight before April (holiday). Plus I have to go to hospital for a checkup next week on my hip replacement, and I may have to have the other one done soon, so I need to slim down some.
Bloody hell! Your calf muscles must have been like iron!
Fair play. I'd be knackered!! Lol.
Why would you feel sorry for him? He was 8/9/10...that's nothing for their age. Isn't that why kids are getting fatter? Being driven everywhere?
To be fair to Ummmm, AYG, I was just thinking this is what my boy could do with. He's not fat, but he's a big lad (tall and stocky) and this kind of walk would do him the world of good.
It's so easy to just jump in the car these days. No good at all.
I'm assuming he does this every day in all weathers. Ok so he will be fit.
