The skeletons of a pair of lovers buried holding hands in a final embrace has been unearthed by workers renovating a palace in Italy. The pair are believed to have been buried together 1,500 years ago in a joint tomb inside the palace walls. People say the woman seems to be looking lovingly at what scientists believe is her partner while the pair hold hands for eternity....awww is it just me or does anyone think that story is made of romantic stuff? What is the most romantic thing you've ever done or had done to you?

He also got me a cafetiere :-)
I don't think there's anything romantic about being incarcerated and suffering either a painful suffocation or a long painful death from de-hydration; whether together or alone!
an old friend of mine at University got a set of sieves from her bf for Valentines Day - now how romantic is that?
I once got some twigs of holly at christmas.
At least my gifts are for no reason...

We don't buy valentines presents.
a pair of Alpine ladies hiking boots.
My mum got a frozen turkey for her 25th wedding anniversary.
After being asked several times if I wanted a deep fat fryer for christmas, (our first Christmas married) I said 'No Way'. I would prefer something more personal. Christmas morning arrived, large box to unwrap, big smile on his face. Guess what, yes it was a deep fat fryer.
The only reason he bought it was because his friend had one and it made excellent deep fryed crispy new potatos. So it was a pressie for him self
I couldn't really complain about that Sally....I've done that loads of times :-)
Letters...phone calls... poems... flowers....
Tears... and that look in his eyes when he says I am beautiful....
I got an ice axe! But I have had spark plugs in the past!
