Does this only happen when you're at work, then? Maybe the company you work for could get you a more ergonomic chair and/or desk...

Question Author
As said i woke up to the pain of cramping
Tonic water with quinnine in helps to prevent cramp.
keep legs warm & wear socks in bed.....circulation probs
Take the advice of daffy and tambo.
Magnesium (sp) helps.

I had cramp a couple of times this morning, wear bed socks doesnt help,i dread turning over because it starts again, will try magnesium and tonic water though, thanks
I get this most nights and it's evil.

I have been in chronic pain meds which helped me, though for other pain as well though, and have been trying to cope without them but find I'm having to take pain killers (anti-inflammatories now my tummy have healed itself a bit) anyway and just get less sleep because of it so having a rethink.

I try to keep my legs as cool as possible and keep them raised sometimes, just prop them up on a pillow.

I've heard tonic water is good due to the quinnine but I can't stand the stuff.

Some say keep feet warm other keep them cool,i will try raising my feet,i have being doing quite alot of walking recently maybe thats what causing this
my nan always said that a good way to stop a cramp is to pinch your bottom lip (fingers on left and right and pinch inwards)

she swore by it.

I cant say if it works because whenevr i get cramp im too busy screaming and hobbling about that i forget to try it

Must remember that one lol
I read somewhere that cramp is caused by an imbalance of salts in the blood giving the wrong messages to the muscles and that drinking water can help.
I have found that a drink of plain water before going to bed can help.
I also leave the salt cellar alone.
