Sophie seemed unsure about quite what she wanted and supplied a hint/nudge with 'andro-something'. bednobs, inferring what Sophie was was actually requesting, supplied the answer Dwarfism, which is just a short hop (pun ?) to the correct medical term Sophie sought.

From the standpoint of someone who knows nothing about what was being sought, or offered, bednobs answer may have appeared bizarre................it was quite correct, however.
