i always thought when on contract broadband would not be increased

Unless you are a Virgin Media customer there is a clause in the contract that allows them to increase the price for inflation every April.
Virgin is including the same clause from next year
There's usually notice and the chance to reject and leave. How long has you been with the company
bob, it is only Virgin that allows you to terminate early without paying a penalty
More recently, the contracts have included the planned increase...inflation rate plus a fixed amount - a total increase this year of roughly 14-15%. If you check the (very) small print, you should find it.

Yeah the break-clause charge ( to leave) is that the company that you are leaving get the profit part, of the contract regardless

where do think $1tn came from for chrissakes
( also occurs in commercial rent contracts)

ta for info im 14 years with talktalk happy with them sometimes down load a bit slow
Plusnet and BT have it in the contract that it goes up in March by RPI plus 3.9%
