New year new resolutions, so I am restarting the old group. We can celebrate losses and offer support.
No one approach is better than any other here.... Do what works for you.

Last time I joined in with the 'onwards and downwards' threads I only had a stone to lose. Its more like two stone now! :o(
Forgot to say, I've got the My Fitness Pal app which helps with calorie counting. I log everything I eat and any exercise I do and that works for me.
Pasta, I couldn’t stand being overweight. The friend I spoke about can’t put her knees together when she sits down. Her belly gets in the way. We went to the theatre once and she had to go and sit in the disabled area because she couldn’t fit into an ordinary seat. I couldn’t bear that. It’s just not an option for me.

I hope anyone who needs an easy fix tries our dive doctor’s method. I did it when my husband wanted to shed a bit of weight - just to keep him company. We ate like kings!
We are not overweight out of choice!
Neither could I Naomi. I know my limit weight-wise and only a few pounds over will cause discomfort. I've been doing my method for over 10 years...and I too eat very well. Foods that most do not consider diet foods. I refuse to starve myself...did that as a young woman. Never again.
Perhaps not - but I’m slim by choice.
'rubs hands as the spark flies toward the tinder'
^that to RH.

I don’t starve either pasta.
No one is Red. Weight and food can be very complicated, and for some it's not an easy matter of *eat less, do more*.
Hi I am a type 2 diabetic and have been prescribed Ozempic for the
last 12 months but now because of the latest craze among some people to lose weight quickly it has been impossible for my pharmacist and many others around the country to be able to obtain this product to fill certain prescriptions. I have been unable to receive this medication on my prescription since October.
It was designed originally for Diabetics, and has proven successful, in its purpose of regulating everything, but we are having to go without and risk having irregular levels again.
Just letting you know.
Is this the tik tok craze
I think so RH it started with some certain 'celebrities' bragging about their 'find'. And of course others with plenty of money have jumped on the bandwagon and have been buying it where ever they can.
That is disgraceful
Well if some people find it is useful for them and it works I can understand it. I just hope it's done with medical supervision as it could have side effects. Just like any drug.
I understand the manufacturers are trying to keep up with demand for their product and have stated that it will be available to all patients in time. I have been advised that it may be August but will see.
I understand the need to keep one's weight at a healthy level, I have been trying for many years.
I don't really have any tips except smaller portions and maybe not sticking to the 3 meals a day. 5 smaller portions spread out over the
day seems to work for me at the moment especially as I am watching glucose levels constantly.

Welcome Mrsladybug, if all you want is a bit of a chat about the struggle, and encouragement on days you are finding things difficult then hopefully we can be of some use. It's awful when people buy up drugs that should be prioritised on medical need. Hope it doesn't take til August, and you get a supply soon.
Thanks Rowan, Most of the time I am coping pretty well. Have down days like most people.
My GP is just watching with me the glucose levels before deciding to maybe try an alternative. So far so good.
MrsLadyBug...have you considered low carb as an option? Many studies are proving it to be a viable option for diabetics...both for weight loss, and to reduce medication.
Lots of information on this site...

I may pop in occasionally, if thats ok? My mobility has deteriorated since the pandemic, and I am sure if I shifted some weight it would help that.
