New year new resolutions, so I am restarting the old group. We can celebrate losses and offer support.
No one approach is better than any other here.... Do what works for you.

Oh brilliant thank you Rowan. The weekly check in helped me so much a couple of years ago but I have regained all my amazing losses and more. Too antisocial to go to a real life group, this is just what I need!
Good morning.
This is such a good idea.
May I be allowed to join in?
Don't understand.......what "old group?"
Question Author
All welcome, just a mutual support group but we do swap recipes and New food ideas.
Brilliant thank you
Still don't understand unless you mean a "clique within a clique?"
Monumental hangover here! For the third year running I start my 'dry January today, anyone else ?
Sqad, it is a group to support those trying to lose weight. There was such a group a while back.
Question Author
Not a clique at all, I don't belong to any if they exist and anyone who starts sniping or behaving in an unhelpful manner will be asked to go away and join weightwatchers!
barry....I remember that group well....not very welcoming as I remember.

Thanks rowan, not sure that it is much clearer....but best of luck.
ooooops! just got it........."Onwards and Downwards"...a weight group.
It’s a continuous thread Sqad, supporting each other with ideas and suggestions for those trying to lose weight. It was and always will be very welcoming to those looking for or offering support.
So here is a question, I have an open packet of shortbread do I gobble it down today to get rid of it for a fresh start or do I allow myself a treat with my coffee every day
Maydup...yes, I understand now, I'm particularly slow at this time of the morning/
That's what I said, Sqad :)

Good luck to those starting their new regimes today, or restarting.

Can I offer some advice?
Strip off and take a full photo of yourself. It is good to be able to see the difference in a few months time.

Make a list of the reasons you want to lose weight, it will help motivate you when you feel like giving up.

Decide what foods you are not willing to cut out of your diet and find ways to make them healthier. For me it is spag bol, curries, fish and chips and roast dinners.

Enjoy everything you eat and drink. You won't stick at it if you don't.
My issue is probably different from others as I still have restriction but slider food has started creeping in as they are easy to eat.
I know what I need to do but slider foods are so nice
What are slider foods?
Foods that have no body, so crumble to a dust, thinks crackers, toast, biscuits, crisps and crisp bread
Oh, ok. Thanks.
I don't know if it's of any use to anyone but there will be a new injectable therapy coming out soon called Wegovy. Like Ozempic which is currently prescribed for Diabetes it is a higher-dose version of Semaglutide which will be prescribed for weight loss and will have less stringent criteria than Saxenda (Liraglutide).

Hopefully Wegovy will be available to prescribe on the NHS shortly.

There is also the option to fund Wegovy or Saxenda privately. If I hear any updates via the Clinics I'm doing I will let you all know.
