Yes
Why would you want to spray ether on a fire, as it is highly inflammable and could explode?
Or have I missed the point?

Yes, you could get the ether vapour in your eyes.
Ether is so flammable that I doubt that the ether would still be a vapour by the time it reached any persons' eyes...more like a ball of fire.
(I have witnessed an ether fire in University labs - it moves VERY quickly. Anybody who has ether near a flame shouldn't be allowed out!)
Why do you want to know?
spraying it on a fire
presumably it is a small fire and they want to make it bigger

I wd expect it to go - - wump !

( I am a great damp squib fire lighter.....)
god you can buy it!
£30 for 100 ml
Nasty stuff - I had it as an anaesthetic in 1948 and was violently sick when I "awoke".
yeah god they threw up everywhere
( also the successor trilene if used with ergot)
ether you will or you won't!
