Apparently it has done well for the tourism industry and sales of T shirts, and the like with the 'new face' on.
So all is not lost.

Perhaps they can use it like the La Sagrada Familia , and charge people to come and look

Incidentally when we were there we suggested to the tour guide that the reason they haven't finished it was because there would be a significant drop in visitors to charge .
She was not pleased with my suggestion

After all what's taking so long , since 1882 , to complete
