The FA pleaded with the UK Government to allow Iceland to travel to London





The Three Lions' opponents will now be allowed to travel to London ahead of next Wednesday's match despite the travel restrictions put in place due to a new coronavirus strain spreading from mink to humans in Denmark.

Seems fair enough to me.

surely you mean "one random person"?
There are very strict rules for elite sport testing and traveling, rules which cant be managed for every holidaymaker flying in and out. Its an economic consideration to tho

Thank you Bednobs. I see that Germany was going to host the game if the FA called it off. Tut, that's Germans for you. One rule for them. Ireland are here on Thursday. They farm mink there too. Should that be called off?
There should not be any exemptions for anyone let alone a bunch of footballers. No wonder we are in such a mess. The Government is crazy to allow this match to go ahead.
Most or all of the Ireland players probly already live in England as they all play here

I'm sure they've already been through testing.
