Postal Deliveries

I haven't seen a postman all week and had no post for several days. Anyone else been affected?

Royal Mail operating as normal where they can. The do say some areas may be affected by staff absence.

Managed to get my Tax return request yesterday. :-(

ours is proceeding as normal, but I wouldn't be surprised if some mail centres have staff off ill or isolating. I've not heard of any nationwide policy to cut back on deliveries.

pasta, our postman wears shorts all through winter. Any virus that attacks him will come off second best.

Looks like it's just affecting my area then. I've tried ringing, but after holding on for over 30 minutes, I got fed up waiting!

That's ok Barsel, a bit annoying not knowing when we'll ever get post again, particularly as I'm waiting for something. I listen to my local radio every morning, but they haven't given us any information on there.

Same here, jno. They never wear trousers. I think in the winter cold and dry legs are preferable to cold, wet trousers.

Normal deliveries here, got our letter from Boris, what a waste of m3£ in postage to tell us what we already know. Still keeps the posties in a job.

the Boris letter was bulk mail. I think that the gov.t have a contract with RM to deliver anything they want sent in that way so it didn't cost anything extra in postage.
