stopped snowing
central heating is yanked up
watching good film on telly..equaliser 2
dinner is in the oven
the cat is purring on my lap
I was just making a shepherd's pie, while 'tasting' the red wine I would put in it and thinking, "Well, things are alright at the moment."

I am tucked up in bed with a cup of tea, which is rather nice.

Shepherd's pie sounds lovely but I just can't be bothered to cook and OH said he wasn't hungry so I won't bother.
Reasonably good health at 73.
No debts.
Nice neighbours in quiet area.
Lovely wife.
Nice family.
Eight grandchildren.
Some hobbies.

I concentrate on the above when winter gets me down.

That sounds nice, Minty. Ferrero Rocher are my weakness. I made a cake inspired by FR not so long ago.
Lovely and warm in here. Little dog fast asleep and content by the fire after a good long walk and run earlier. Chicken cooking away in the oven for tea. Looking forward to Dancing on Ice later ! Simple things, but I'm content.

The Welsh won but didn't play well at all
The Scots won but stuffed themselves by needlessly conceding three tries
The log fire is going
The chicken is in the pot and roasting away - lemon bread crumbs, 1.5 lemons, tarragon in there, marsala and Noilly Prat to be added in 10. Roasted rattes and a selection of veg like cauli to be roasted as well.
3 weeks down of my fallow period, one to go. Cold Becks Blue shortly.
Just coming back from my beautiful little grandaughter's 4th birthday party, in Hertfordshire. Plus our lovely little grandson, who is a year old now, was there too. Weatherwise its been glorious too. So very cheerful!

He's one already, aww bless. Time does indeed fly.
I'm suffering with on and off razer throat, laryngitis, and a drippy nose...but I managed to get a seafood platter from M and S...normally £15, for £3.75....yayyyyy!
I found some chocolate brownie ice creams yesterday at Aldi.
