I've just finished a very nice coq au vin, so that's the wine bit done for me. However I did remember to buy some cans of lager in Lidl earlier, so I'll probably open a few shortly ;-)

Just had 2 glasses of cider, with my Sausages and Mash, and very nice they were as well.

I now have a small Irish Whiskey, with ice, as a night cap !

Coq au Vin, eh Chris - there's posh for you - I'm just about to make a butty - ham/mustard and toated ciabatta I think.

But I'm tired - and need to reset my sleep/wake rhythm - so I'm having a hot toddy in a couple of hour's time and trying for an earlyish night, I think.

Friends can keep you busy......I'm making a throw in the style of a Mondrian composition for a friend....
I'm useless and unhappy with random.......the lack of symmetry bugs me....I like matching and coordinated...so three quarters of it is Mondrian.....with my own addition for one panel......it'll keep him warm anyway.... :-)

I found it at the back of my freezer, Dave. It was one of the meals I'd bought to treat myself with over the Christmas period, which I'd forgotten about. My local farm shop stocks the excellent (but rather pricey) 'Cook' range of frozen foods and it was one of theirs:
