Same happened to me both times, Patsy......I lack some sort of hormone or whatever it is that triggers labour....so I was told......too long ago now to remember exactly.....
I had to get to the hospital straight away......so I suggest you just do that unless you get an answer from someone more experienced......xxx
I'd assume the hospital said more than they were very busy to your daughter, did they give her any advice ?
No big deal.....Labour pains should follow and then, the hospital will be interested.

Thanks all. Yes her partner is taking her in hospital now to see triage, to check baby and take it from there.
Labour pains may not start for over a week....no big deal.
Ruptured membranes for over a week would be a Big deal .
But don't wait a week to be sure, Sqad......be checked......it's best...

Glad she's on her way to hospital, Patsy.....let us know when you're a grandma.....x
same happened to my daughter with 2 of hers she didn't go into labour for several days. Apparently it happens to about 2 % of women
granny patsy.....lovely xx
Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly. Busy or not your daughter has every right to attend hospital for examination.

Keep us updated xx

Glad she's going in to be checked out. I've just been reading that any longer than 4 days, an infection may occur in womb and baby. I hope labour happens soon. I'll keep you all posted!..
Patsy....keep off the internet.
I hope all is well, exciting wait for you.x
Question Author
Sqad, I only looked because my other daughter mentioned this. Thanks for your replies.
Question Author
Yes, an exciting wait Mamya! Mixed with a little anxiety...x
Their labour is often harder to bear than ours was , been there 4 times and was a wreck - best to all.x
Patsy...she has attended ante-natal clinics, her BP is normal, her urine is normal, the baby is presenting head down, foetal heart rate is normal........THEN rupture of membranse with out Labour pains is no big deal and they will probably send her home.
