Could it be a fatty lump (lipoma?) Does it move around? Sqad and others are the medical people to suggest things.
Ganglion maybe.
Could be start of Dupuytrens Contracure.??
Could be the beginnings of dupuytren's contracture, more likely just a small tendon tie.
LOL^
Are you holding an apple?
My friend had Dupuytrens Contracture and it does start with a thickening and then a pulling in of one (or two) fingers eventually. She has just had an op for it.
It's a nodule.
No big deal
I prefer the apple suggestion :-)
Yes dupitrens contractor if it is slightly under the ring finger. I have it, no problem yet.
For clarification....if the "lump" is the only feature with no contracture of the fingers.....usually the ring finger it is a nodule in the tendon.

It may stay like that for ever.......a nodule.

However if the nodule gets larger and drags the fingers across the palm (usually the ring finger) ........it is known as Dupytren's Contracture...Mrs Thatcher had it.

No contracture.............a nodule.
Contracture......Dupytren's Contracture.
shoota - you are funny - it is good to get a wee laugh on these sites sometimes.
It doesn't sound like Dupuytren's.

I agree with Sqad, it sounds like a nodule.
Dupuytrens Contracture will usually be evident by the fingers beginning to pull in toward the palm or tightness of the skin toward your fingers.

I have had Dupuytrens Contracture for many years, been operated on once to free the fingers and will need doing again shortly.
