Would appreciate any suggestion for the following problem. Rarely get colds etc but about six weeks ago got a bad dose of laryngitis coupled with a bronchial type cough - completely lost my voice for two days - have never had anything like this before. Didn't feel too ill but I still have a niggly cough as though I've got something stuck in my lungs or throat or have been in a smokey atmosphere - can't clear it. Have tried honey, lemon, cough sweets etc. I gave up smoking about 12/13 years ago. Thank you

thank you Sqad
You could try steam inhalations.
Hang over a bowl of very hot water with a towel over your head and inhale the steam.
You could put some menthol crystals or eucalyptus oil in the water , if you want. (Get both from Boots or any chemist).
Can't hurt and might help to clear your 'tubes'.
Bromhexin, not totally sure if available in UK. Certainly works though.
