Don't believe everything that's in the Bible.
Things that you're liable, to read in the bible.......it ain't necessarily so....:o)
Found this...

The oldest person in the Bible was Methuselah at 969 years, then later God lowered the average life span to 120 years (Moses died at 120), and then even lower to our current average of 70 to 80 years--and this because of the increasing wickedness of mankind.

Adam lived 930 years, and then he died. [Genesis 5:5]
Seth lived 912 years, and then he died. [Genesis 5:8]
Enosh lived 905 years, and then he died. [Genesis 5:11]
Kenan lived 910 years, and then he died. [Genesis 5:14]
Mahalalel lived 895 years, and then he died. [Genesis 5:17]
Jared lived 962 years, and then he died. [Genesis 5:20]
Methuselah lived 969 years, and then he died. [Genesis 5:27]
Lamech lived 777 years, and then he died. [Genesis 5:31]

Then the LORD said, "My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal; his days will be a hundred and twenty years." [Genesis 6:3]

"The length of our days is seventy years - or eighty, if we have the strength; yet their span is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away." [Psalm 90:10]

.
all sounds mumbo jumblo to me
A couple of Jehovah's Witnesses knocked at my door recently, and they were absolutely convinced that everything that's in the Bible is true. They weren't put off when I said that the so-called miracles were the result of somebody eating magic mushrooms.
No, with no Internet, TV or Radio, it just felt like 150.....

tis unlikely - if for no other reason than life expectancy is (apparently) at it's highest level now.
150 was no age. Methuselah was 969 when he passed on.
......and technically speaking Enoch has never died.........
Powell? I suppose he lives on in the black hearts of the EDL
what possible qualitiy of life would you have at age 400 with no real medical marvels available, sounds like a lot of hooey to me
I remember reading in something (might have been a Thomas Hardy book) about a man who thought he was about 200, but he was counting each season as a year so was only really about 50. Maybe they counted months as years or something back then :)
Did the Bible actually state what one year comprised?
ie .. 365 days .. at 24 hours .. and how was the time measured exactly?
Get my drift?
When we were children we used to say that a long period of time was hundreds of hours or hundreds of years... Biblical quoted ages don't actually mean that they lived that long in the scale of time as we understand it now.
Noah was 950.
He would probably have outlived Methuselah if he hadn't been a toper.
Anybody know how long was a year then?
