There is no one solution. I smoked from age 11 to age 65,
stopped dead one night when TV programme said my pet
budgie would be suffering from passive smoking. Lady wife
a non smoker was pleased and miffed at the same time.
You are doing really well. Tell yourself that ONE WILL matter and treat yourself to something else instead. A lovely mug of hot bovril, hot vimto, etc or even do a job that you have been meaning to do for ages. The craving for that ONE will pass.

Good Luck.

It is very hard and you will want to smoke but RESIST the urge! I used nicotinell gum and found it really helped. The first three days are the hardest, if you get through these it will get easier. Remember that a craving will only last the amount of time it would take to smoke a cigarette so learn to take deep breath and occupy yourself. Don't tell yourself you'll just have one more because it doesn't work. You're just putting off stopping!

It is easy to give in - don't give up on giving up! Once you're free you find it hard to see why you were so hooked. Let us know how you get on.
my friend quit smoking by putting all the money he would have spent into a glass jar and watched it grow!
i was a chain smoker for ten years.
I gave up by slowly changing my cigarettes to menthol ones.
After that, seeing other people smoke didn't bother me, because I only wanted minty ones.
Then I went onto minty chewing gum and I finally managed it.
I haven't smoked for 15 years.
Apart from having my babies, it's the best thing I ever did.
I would say "Never give up giving up" One time will be the right time.
Good luck!
