....have been non stop!

I lost my uncle a fortnight ago to lymphoma and he also tested positive for covid which he caught in hospital before going to the hospice. My aunt caught it as well. We had his funeral last Monday and it's been a very emotional time for everyone. My aunt had stay in the car and we were all socially distanced.

I've exchanged contracts on my house and the completion date is the 10th so today we moved into my parents house. I can't believe how much stuff I've accumulated over the past 25 years. I'm getting rid of loads of stuff and what I am keeping is now in my nan's garage or at my parents. As soon as I get a completion date on my new place I can cart it all there.

Feeling quite drained at the moment, both physically and emotionally. Sad to be leaving my house but onto a bigger house in a cul de sac in a lovely quiet area. Roll on the new year....

Condolences on the death of your Uncle and hope your Aunt recovers well.

Onward and upward for a new start for you and Tiggs Jr.
Sorry to hear of your Uncle Tiggs but a new house and a new start for you and little Tiggs, good luck x
A real mix of the good, and the sad tigger. I'm sorry to hear about your uncle's death and your aunt's illness, but very happy for the new life that awaits you and little tigs. Gosh, the buying and selling has gone fast. Best of luck to you x
Any reason why your Completion dates on sale and buy are not the same Tigs? That's how it usually works.

Thank you xx

I was told by the EA that it's to do with the buyers mortgage, LB. The funds will be transferred to my account on the 10th.
It hasn't been an easy time for you, Tiggs.
You'll get there, but look after yourself in the meantime. :-)
Hate to tell you but despite chucking tons out when you were packing up your last home, you'll do exactly the same in your new home when you get there, Why on earth did I keep that? will be the gist of your words! One of the reasons that we seem to find the local tip, Recycling Centre these days, before anything else!
Good luck with the move, I have a garage full of my daughter's garage stuff, she's in the same predicament.
yeah I am really sorry to hear of the uncles death - my condolences - more so since I have - - - lymphoma. I cant say the doctors have told me that it is but a bauble .....
I'm sorry about your uncle, Tiggs. My uncle is still with us but is still PEG fed and still has his tracheostomy. Lord knows if he'll ever be the same again. I'd had Covid myself a couple of weeks ago and was barely affected.

Good luck with the house move. I hope it will be the start of an excellent year for you.
Best wishes for the future. And to you too Peter.

Thanks xx

My uncle was having chemo but that had to stop due to a problem with his kidneys. The cancer spread rapidly after that so that was that. He is at peace now and not suffering but has left a huge hole in our lives.

Spent another day clearing my ex house. Still got a few bits and bobs to take but can do that tomorrow. Going to book a cleaner in to do a deep so it's ready for my buyer.
