Following some fairly major abdominal surgery I think I have an adhesion. I have a constant pain and tugging sensation on one part of the scar.
Any suggestions?

No big deal.

Adhesions in medical terms refer to those affecting the internal organs i.e small or large bowel, leading maybe to the symptoms of intestinal obstruction (which you haven't got).

Scars often develop the symptoms that you describe.........forget it!
It's the internal stitches dissolving. It is normal.
They say Emu oil is good if you massage it into the scar, it makes it more flexible. Its available on Amazon Mrs O ............

Is Emu oil any good for bruising?
I ask because Sqad may need some very shortly
LOL
agree sqad - no you dont have an adhesion

My brother tried the 'I am in pain and I havent taken paracetamol' bit and got the usual answer - I even offered to ring him every four hours to remind - but even as a man he said he could cope

1 g every four hours - maximum 6 g/ d assuming 'normal' weight

I have realised that if the pain is not from an adhesion, it will come under the medical diagnosis of "just one of those things"
or,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,your knicker elastic might be too tight . ?
Peter, maximum does is 4grams a day, not six
Many years ago I had pain in my scar post hysterectomy. I had some ultrasound therapy which helped.
