It’s the last week of term for boy #1 and he has his first 12 hour ambulance shift tomorrow, I really hope it turns out to be what he expects.

Best of luck for him Sherr
good luck boy 1... he will be busy.
He has worked so hard, I'm sure it will go well.

You must be rightly proud of him.x

I think having had a year off between uni and college has made all the difference. He’s had to book an Airbnb for tonight, but he’ll still have to walk 50 minutes to get there for a 6am start. On the weekend he’s got some (lucrative) work as an event medic too.
lots of over-imbibing Xmas revellers, I expect.
Good luck to him xx I'm sure it might feel stressful at first, and a long time... which he'll get used to. I hope he enjoys it xx

The hours shouldn’t be a problem, he did 3 x 12 hour shifts on patient transport last week.
Best wishes to him. I'm sure he'll do well.
Good lad!
Good, this will hopefully be more interesting... best wishes to him xx

Just had a mini heart attack when the boy explained his accommodation is a room in someone’s house but he seems happy about it (and I’ve seen the link and it looks nice). I was never that confident at 19 (or ever).
Take pride in having a confident son Sher xx

Hope he enjoys it - if enjoy is the correct word
These mollycoddled kids working really hard. Who would have thought it?! :-)

I agree with you about the confidence, they are pretty amazing.

Well done to him.
I suspect that he'll get a massive dosage of reality in life - good luck to him as it won't be easy, but it will be rewarding when he gets past the shocks and takes it all in. That rationalistic logic of what he has witnessed is perfect normal.....

He’s been to a drugs project today, not fazed in the least.

Two weeks ago he spent the week with severely disabled adults and he was absolutely full of admiration for the staff who work with them.
Well boy #1 and good luck for tomorrow.
I remember when he was just a nipper xx
You know what Sherr, that boy of yours is going to do very well. You must so proud.
That’s wonderful, Sherr. Well done you too for bringing up such a brilliant lad.

Wish your boy all the best in what he does. As a retired fireman we worked very closely with the ambulance service and know what a great job they do. They don't get the recognition they deserve.

good for him, but he shouldn't be working 12-hour shifts. Nobody should be.
