Woke up early this morning feeling great, probably coz I gulped a couple of sleepy tabs last night. Hadn't been sleeping well for a couple of weeks, had trouble dragging my slovenly carcass out of bed in the morn.
Not the sort of tablet I wish to take regularly, but every now and then works wonders.
Afternoon oz. Nothing wrong with that mate. As long as they don't become the norm. I know they won't with you though mate.
I'm fine thank you. I had a phone call from the hospice yesterday, asking if I would like to become an 'official' volunteer. I' sure you know my reply! I've got a meeting there next week. I can guess what they want..but I could be wrong.
If that shaggy old Irish man can be "Sir Bob" I reckon you could wipe the floor with him.
Well, he is skinny with a mop of hair and having his head put through a squeezy roller bucket wouldn't affect him much. ;-)
Could leave the floor greasier and dirtier than it was before too.
Went to see a locum today, my Doc has lost lots of her farm due to the fires and hasn't been on duty much. I'm going to the big smoke on Friday to buy lots of drugs.
A good locum, wrote me 6 months worth of prescriptions without any preaching or arguments.
Sorry about the doc's farm mate. The locum sounds sensible. If you have to travel that far to get the prescription it makes sense to bulk buy. If I remember rightly it's a fair old slog isn't it?
We have a local chemist, rarely has what I need in stock, doesn't sell generic brands, adds up to waiting and paying through the nose.
200 km round trip but I'll visit my old mates from "Sad sacks anon" and drop into see my son. He had a little accident at work today, burnt his hand, went to hospital and after treatment they sent him home, so not too bad. I'll see if he needs more dressings, creams etc and organise them for him.
That's why mine are free. Before retirement age, if you are working there is a charge for prescriptions, it's not much, a standard amount per item, although some items are cheaper if bought over the counter.
Morning all, a busy day here, the builder in for some skirting board maintenance - it was the way they made these cobh houses, meanwhile I have to dash to Lostwithiel (Lostwithit) to the auction house with about 25 lots for next week.
