Officially Day -1, but actually the first day of the Games, with the Snowboard Slopestyle qualification taking place from 6.00am our time.

Even before qualification began, two competitors are out of the Snowboarding Slopestyle.

Torstein Horgmo of Norway broke his collarbone in practice.

And Shaun White of the US has pulled out of the competition because he thinks the course is too dangerous.

This was Horgmo's accident ...

Horgmo's balance was all wrong, wasn't it. Too much arm waving as he approached the first jump.

But Jamie Nichols ... taken us all by surprise ... he's qualified in the Top 4, so he skips the Semis, and he's straight into the Final !!!
