Does anybody know the rest of this lullaby?

"Do You want the stars to play with?

or the moon to run away with?

They'll be yours if you don't cry"

All google has come up with is an album by a canadian indie band!!

Thanks

Oh jude, you can't drink because.....You got the clap girl???

So warm here, I was bundled up in sweaters, jeans and boots, but really have to slim now, cos I put it all on this year again. Need to wear some lighter clothes. Was looking at those pale lemony pants that I want but I would look like lumpy custard in them at the mo, (pants being baggy summer trousers) so goodby Everton mints and fruit gums.

morning all its having a bit of a persist here.we all had a lie in which was nice. TBH I could go back to bed again but probably best not.
Hi again.

My pets have their ashes scattered at a local private pets crematorium which is set out like a garden. The vets arrange it. I haven't actually been there but I can go and visit if I wish. I am not one to ever visit graves, etc. though.

My Mum is with me in a box decorated with bluebells in the bedroom she had at my house for six months. It's the room I am converting into my den. I have decided she is staying with me until I go. There is nowhere I wish to have her ashes scattered.

Well, Woofy, I am back from my dog walk and am now going to change into my g litzy glamour clothes, put my hair extensions back in and plaster on the greasepaint!!!!

And then I am going to clean the kitchen floor!!

Jude, I would be furious!!
Oh dear, I meant applause jude!!
My poor mum is in a niche in a wall (she's 3rd up) I absolutely hate them, and am hoping desperately for a crematorium to be built here before I go. They are talking about it, cos a lot us foreigners are not catholic so we are willing to be cremated and that leaves lots more niches for the catholics. The niches in walls take up such a lot of land.
Hello all...no I don't feel better but I'm not expecting to for a long time yet. I managed to catch a lovely lady I know passing my house who used to have a PAT dog & now has another pet dog (&cats). I told her, and another doggy lady who came along, about Charlie & she was so sorry & called to give me a plant on her way home. People are always so lovely when you've lost your pet.

The animal crem collect the pet from vets & send the ashes by special delivery if you don't want them to go in their garden.
We still have our brother's ashes, the right time for scattering never arrived somehow, but my sister suggested why not let Charlie go with him? He'd have had another dog when he retired for certain, he loved them all & they loved him & no one would have taken more care of any animal than he would. I told you they had a Lassie collie like Jude's when he married. It would be lovely for them to be together.

What a palaver Jude, just like when they wouldn't do my blood tests because the form hadn't been signed by one specific doc & only had the hospital dept named. Apparently it was a load of watnots & they could have done it...or simply made a phone call to verify it. Jobsworths.

Glad your sad day is over for you shaney, funerals are always cold, even in summer. Don't let anyone start putting on you. x

It's a glorious day so I'm going outside...my nice neighbour will be out there for me to hinder. She's had dogs too.
Hi all
Still dull , dreary and cold here .
Neti ..Shaney went to The Cambridge Pet Crematorium. The vet arranged it all. He was cremated on his own and they sent him back in a box .All very nice though with a lovely card but of course costo mucho ,but he was worth it to me .
The horrible part was collecting him from the vet and having to carry him home .I was surprised at how heavy he was ! But he was a big dog .

He's in his box but I can't bring myself to scatter him in the garden .I left poor Mickey in the garden in London scattered around and the new people dug it all up and paved it over .
It does take a while Robinia .I still grizzle .Look after yourself xx

Good news is they are pleased with Mr S and he doesn't have to go back until later in the year when they will scan him and then he'll have to go for a routine scan every six months for three years .
What a carry on Jude .It's a pain waiting about for tests .I have to go back to doctor next week .They've found something wrong with my chemistry . I obviously don't wear enough low cut blouses :)
shaney, do you mean carrying the ashes back from the vet? Here we have to have the hole already dug as we have to bring the still warm body back, it is so heartwrenching. and Mr N just cannot bury the pets, so of course it's down to me!
Yes the ashes Neti . I remember it was a very hot day and it's quite a walk to the vets .I broke down in the vets when they presented me with this bag and snivelled all the way home :(

Don't go through the whole site though if you are going to get upset . But it's a lovely place .
i do get upset where pets nd kiddies are concerned! I'll go through it all later.

Have just seen the first " Silk", I did enjoy it, although typically i was confused at the ending when the medal was sent to her. i can't believe that is Twinkle from Dinnerladies. I've been away too long!
You have to pay a bit extra for our local crematorium in a nearby village, but it is a very small place and much more personal that the larger ones. They collect the pet from the vets. I couldn't cope with burying a pet at all.

Glad all went well today for Mr S, Shaney. Still on for Monday then?

Computer has been playing up a lot today, but seems to have calmed down a bit.

I came on this thread earlier and just couldn't post.

Just run an AVG scan and is says no viruses!

Am still steam cleaning. It wears me out!!

Weather has been lovely this afternoon.

xx
lottie, if you couldn't literally bury a pet, and there were no other options, like here, what would you do? There is no way in a million years I could put a dead pet in a dustbin (we have big bins per area, not individual ones!) and it is illegal.
I would have to Neti, there would be no option.

Just thinking perhaps we shouldn't be discussing this.

Poor Robi.

Fair dos.

Finished your steaming yet? Getting chilly here now after a glorious day.

evening all...its going to FREEZE here tonight..we just had M and S dinner, lasagne for DH and paella (no squid, yeuch) for moi and chocolate cheesecake for dessert. I am very food focussed at the mo as there seems to be no telling what DH will manage and what will make him upset in the tum. I am nearly through the anti bi's they are the kind you can't have alcohol with, I don't normally these days but you know what its like when you can't have something. M and S have the most succulent dark plums in at the mo from the US reduced to half price, juicy, scented and delicious....wittering, tired, night night

morning all, normal service....it did freeze here, there was fog rising as I walked the dogs and the most beautiful red full moon setting. There are bonuses to this early morning rising lark...not least of which is going back to my warm bed
Hi

-3 degrees last night. I got up to let Meggie out at 5.15am and it was white. I seriously thought it had been snowing. Went back to bed again until 8.15!!

My lovely daffs are hanging their heads in shock at the cold. They will no doubt perk up.

Absolutely lovely now, but I have to go shopping!!

Yes, I finished my steaming, Nets.

Have a lovely day everyone!!

Morning all...beautiful sunny day but it was frozen earlier. I didn't get to do any gardening yesterday, the wind turned cold anyway but I hope to make an effort today.

Shaney that's great news for Mr S & for you too, having a break from all that for the summer will be lovely...I hope your tests are ok. I don't know about my chemistry but I don't think I'm wired right.
And that's the place where Charlie has gone, what a coincidence. I thought it seemed such a long way but you're not much nearer to it than I am. There are some smaller places nearer to here but that doesn't necessarily mean better. I don't know if you heard about it but there was a terrible case of a woman from a pet crem in Derbyshire who was dumping dogs in fields instead of cremating them. She sent ordinary fire ash to some owners...She's now in prison, not for long enough but even some criminals have soft spots for animals so I hope she's been made to feel suitably unwelcome. This isn't nice so don't read it if it will upset you...

Can't end on a sad note so just a quick smile I had yesterday...I was looking for a route from here to there and the info as I read it was 'This route has trolls'...haha, it was tolls of course but I thought I'd found the road to AB towers.
Morning all, just finished the shopping. Had to collect hija at 5.30 this am from Ibiza town (she'd been out since 21hrs thursday), and it was freezing and one of my brake lights has stopped working! Lovely traffic free roads, and also the street lights on the motorway (sic) were out, hate that!

Just off to buy English bread and sausages from a supplier who brings English goodies from her warehouse, every Saturday!
Right girls, is there going to be an Eastenders cos there wasn't one last night? if so when? also Benidorm.

In Corrie, didn't Rita sell the Kabin to Norris, if so, why was she bothered about the name change, or is she still part owner.
