Does anybody know the rest of this lullaby?

"Do You want the stars to play with?

or the moon to run away with?

They'll be yours if you don't cry"

All google has come up with is an album by a canadian indie band!!

Thanks

On your poetry thread in this section!!

Please keep all your biddie fingers and toes crossed for us, we are one step nearer to selling our land. It means a lot for a more comfortable retirement!!

Robi, I am so glad that Charlie came to be with you. It sounds as though you have given him a lovely life. Pets can be little sods though. Mousey acts all cutesy cutesy with Mr N and knocks the phone from his hand and yowls if he's talking, and cuddles up to his chest when he is in a recumbant position on the couch. But then she goes and kills (beheads even) birds, mice, lizards and rats. and leaks onto the bed. At the moment she is behaving at night but she has to sleep next to my leg and I just cannot move cos if I disturb her, we are up and down all night letting her in and out and stopping her yowling!
Sorry lottie, everything crossed for you. At least you'll get something for your land. We are still waiting for the council just to take uors!
Neti. Mousey sounds like our Alice!! Alice spends the night on and off of our beds headbutting us and patting us on the face and is always 'talking' to us.

It is so hard losing a loved pet. They are one of the family and leave a huge hole.
Am now off to make myself a posh lunch of scrambled egg on toast with smoked salmon.
Pets were sent to try us weren't they :o). I did my very best for him neti & he was the happiest, most affectionate little chap, not a grumpy bone in his body. He had a special thing with my youngest granddaughter, I expect she'll be very upset when my son tells her today, they adored each other. He might not have learned how to do many things but his behaviour with her as a baby was uncanny, so gentle. Everyone else got bounded on & pawed & licked to death :o)

It's gone awfully chilly now the sun's gone in. Good luck with the sale Lottie.
Thanks Robi.

Mr LL is in Derby today. Please tell him not to be too late back for dinner tonight or at least tell me if he expects to be late (not like last night!!)

Master LL and his GF are on their way to Nottingham to see Elbow tonight.
It's lovely to hear about Charlie Robi and I think it is good for you to write these things down.
I'll send a few Midlanders in exchange Lottie....they'll be the ones wat talk like me.

Anyone having a prob with this site? My internet keeps cutting off when I'm on here.
The site is behaving Robi, but my puter ain't!!
I am having trouble with firefox today. Am using phone at moment.
good luck with the land sale, Lottie. Where are you going to live, in a tree?

Has the census been held yet? I suppose I'll have to do it when I get back, otherwise my descendants will be faced with a gap in their family tree researches.
No tree house for me jno.

Land is at the back of my late Mum's house, being sold in conjunction with two other neighbours which gives a nice huge site for 4 big houses. Sharing the proceeds, but the road access is through our property so we get the biggest share. Master LL lives in the house - it's is jointly owned by both of us.

I live elswhere - as you know out in the sticks. The house with the land is in the town in rather a nice position by the river.

Not a fortune but a nice sum to retire with because eventually son is buying my share off me!! (I will have to pay capital gains tax on my half of the land sale, 'cos I don't live in the house :o( )

Anyway, called in to say goodnight to you all.

Hope all went well for Mr Shaney today.

And special hugs to our Robbi.

Evening all
Well that was a grim day .The weather was cold ,dank and drizzling , it was freezing in the church and even colder at the cemetery. Horrible.
Usual tea and cucumber sarnies at an 'otel ( drink was looked on askance by some of 'em,but I headed for the bar as my tiny hand was frozen ) ,chatted to relatives I haven't seen for donkeys years who promise to keep in touch but never do .Of course they haven't seen you since you were youngish and seem amazed at how you've grown :0)

Just have to wait now for my cousin on the blower ..could you ,can you ,would you :)

Hope you are all OK and that you feel a little better Robinia . I still have Shaneys toys ,basket and duvet in the shed and he sits in his box in the front room and I still say goodnight to him xxx

Hope your sale goes off well for you Lofty .
I'm off to bed ,check up day tomorrow .Love to you all.Sleep tight .

glad your horrible day is over Shaney...
night night all
Good morning Biddies, let's hope it a nicer morning for us all.

How are you Robi, silly q really cos you won't feel any better yet, baby steps girl, baby steps!

Oh shaney that sounds just how a funeral should be, dark and miserable.

May I ask a q about pet cremation? Does the vet do this or is there a special place, cos it's unheard of here (well they don't cremate people unless they have died of aids), but a much cleaner and nicer way to go, and you can keep the ashes.
Good morning

Off out for walk with Meggie

Back later

our vet does it neti.
Thats nice, cos we even have to take pet home again, and dispose of the body. No.idea how flat dwellers manage,
Well what a bl88dy palaver. Having had 2 glasses of water from 6.30.last night until I was seen by the nurse at 7.15 this morning at the hospital. She said why have you fasted like it says on here. and I said cos I'd been told to and said what test I was expecting and she said well that's not the test on here so refused to do it. I then went home and had my breakfast then went to see my Dr. (not the woman Dr who gave me the test paper) and he had to give me another correct test paper. So now I have to go through the bl88dy fasting period again, but it wont be until next week now. Phew! when I got to the Dr. I met 2 ladies who I know and we sat and had a good laugh about it so I had calmed down when I went in to see him. Still people have worse things than blood tests to worry about don't they.

II have just seen 2 beautiful Goldfinches who have come back in my garden and the sun is shining lovely. Take care Robi have thought about you. All the best Mr and Mrs. S. And hello to all the rest of my Biddyfriends. Have a good day.

Oh I forgot, last night was a great night out at Tutbury. My bro and his 2 mates played all Irish and folksy songs and music all night - brilliant sing song. The instruments they played between them were guitar, fiddle, accordian, banjo, mandolin, and mouth organ and of course singing. Very versatile.
The only downside was my sister drove which meant I could have had a drink but I couldn't because - well I wont go into all that again :~)
See yer later 'gater(s) x
