Islay - It's long been on my 'classics I really ought to read' list.
HP & the Cursed Child is being read to get me Nana-points with my Grandson who I see in a fortnight......:o)
And War Brides because I fancied a change from my usual sort of book.
Slinky Kate I read that one when it first came out last month I reserved it at our local library and was first on the list, have you read all the others in the Inspector Grace series too ? really like them.
'A History of the World in 100 Objects.' by Neil Mc Gregor, (ex-director of the British Museum) Marvelous book; I'm up to object 84 - 'Mexican Codex Map'.
Currently about 2/3 of the way into the series of books by Bernard Cornwell chronicling the life of Uhtred of Bebbanburg as depicted in the tv series, The Last Kingdom which, if memory serves, took it's content from the first two books.
I've just finished The Girls by Lisa Jewell and will start I See You by Clare Mackintosh, I loved her book I Let You Go so hoping this will be as good.
Hey Slinky and all, ..I'll third the recommendation for The Girl on the train - Very good read :-) Currently have my nose into 'Expo 58' by Jonathan Coe - Literally just started so will let you know what it is like anon :-D
Peaspeculiars, 'The Girl on the Train' is another I have on the go at the moment. It's not holding my attention at all, but so many people have said it's worth reading, I'll persevere.
