Morning Ed, getting a bit chilly here but I'll be spending Good Friday packing for an experimental holiday....hand luggage only.....no car, just hired bikes for outings......and house tidying for a couple of house sitters......
The scariest part is not the bikes....it's getting all the bling, makeup and hair products plus knitting wool and needles into hand luggage........ :-(
I'm also packing ... and checking my insurance, reading it twice and then using a magnifying glass on the small print to see if there are any exclusions relating to being damaged in unexpected and unusual ways by small, Irish persons.
Then I have to write a ten page essay on "How Dave's technology works" for my technophobic housesitters. I expect a series of calls over the next couple of weeks starting "Dave ... we were just wondering how you use the TV/Sky/Prime boxes ... and while we're on the phone ... why has the microwave eaten our socks?"
I will then have a large glass of wine (which reminds me I still have to go to Majestic today) and wonder whether flying out of Stansted on Easter Saturday is clever/brave/stupid.
Sunny but cool here, been out with the dogs for a couple of hours, down to Reculver.
Got some grass cutting to do then it's a lazy day if I get my way.
Honestly! He was well warned......the other birders took him to one side and explained that mishaps were likely.....J even shook his hand and wished him well....calling him a brave man was a tad extreme I thought.......
And yes, maybe the kerfuffle with the security guard and the washing powder tablets could have been avoided.....as could the discovery of my embroidery scissors in the carry on bag.....
And yes, I was the only person sitting at the glass table when it exploded......still don't know how I managed that.....
But there's no point in him worrying........just sit back and relax.....though double checking his insurance isn't a bad thing... :-)
getting my head around the fact that someone had to use brute force to kick in our door to the bin area, whoever did it must be strong as an ox, with a brain to match.
