Are we counting the Anopheles Mosquito?
Definitely the mosquito.  It has killed more people than every other cause of death put together.
I agree with the mosquito. Apparently the hippo is the most dangerous large animal
I believe the mosquito kills the most people but this technically is indirectly as it is the malaria which they carry which kills. I believe the correct answer is bees.
I mentioned on the last recent similar thread, Hippo - bit I could be wrong..
*but
Humans beings probably kill other human beings more than animals do.
historically malaria has killed more humans than anything else, accepted, & still kills 1 million worldwide per annum -but, mosquitos are the vector and the actual pathogen is a protozoan (literally meaning: 'before'-'animals') of the genus plasmodium, & this is not technically an animal. so i dont think you can have mosquito, because it doesnt do the killing, the plasmodium sp. does. similarly the mosquito also 'indirectly', i suppose, kills another million by carrying west nile fever, dengue fever, & pathogens causing encephalitis. The tetse fly, carries the sleeping sickness bug, which kills about 60,000 a year. but as for actual animals maiming and killing people (other than humans), domestic dogs have to be up there just because of sheer numbers, bears must kill a few people, and a suprising one i read of is that deer worldwide kill quite a few people by getting flattened by cars and causing road accidents. the hippo kills more people in africa than crocodiles do, thats quite right.
