FAO All Frankie's supporters. I've left a message on the original thread. He's snoring away in his basket just now. Love to everyone. Schutz.

Hi Ruth. Your little Issy sounds like my 22yr old tortoiseshell, Tansy. she can purr for England. xxxx Schutz.
Well done Schutz your nursing skills are shining through. Jack was so happy when I told him. He's now asking for him and our Frankie to be able to play like lambs....

Glad he is getting stronger and hope you receive a good report on 5th xxx

Hi Albaqwery. I'm so pleased Frankie is feeling a bit better, and hoping for a good report next Tuesday. Frankie just loves Ed the vet who usually looks after him, and he'll be seeing Ed next Tuesday. When Frankie had his operation it was Ed's day off so it was Mary who did the operation, she's lovely, but of course Frankie doesn't know her, and is only used to Ed. Frankie has had his tea and is now fast asleep again, and tonight he even gave his tummy scar a little wash. So there are little improvements each day. Thanks for your messages. love Schutz.

Sorry Albaqwerty, I should have explained that Frankie sees Ed on a regular basis, for blood tests to check on the level of his epilepsy medication, when he gets lots of fuss, as Ed has 2 cats of his own and thinks Frankie is the bees knees. :-) Schutz.
So pleased to hear the news - he sounds an absolute delight. Obviously all the tlc he has been getting from you is working wonders, he is a lucky little cat.
Flossie seems to almost back to normal btw - I never thought she would pull through from the stroke but they are amazingly tough little critters aren't they?

Hi Brenda, thanks again for the good wishes. Frankie is asleep now, flat on his back with all four feet in the air. Perhaps he feels more comfortable that way. Thanks to Honey for the sloppy kisses, I'm sure they'll be appreciated.
Love to Honey and yourself. xxxx Schutz.
ah-ha first name terms with vet, that's good! sorry to hear he has to see him on a regular basis but Frankie knows that he only gets the best :)
I used to be the servant of 2 cats and both hated the vet.

Bensmum, sorry to hear about your cat, but they are resillient.

Hi Cathy. How lovely bless him, will you tell Jack that Frankie isn't yet well enough to play, and still needs his prayers. If Jack goes to bed thinking about your Little Frankie, I'll have a word with Big Frankie and he might come to see him in his dreams. When you are only 3yrs old anything is possible. Lots of Love to Jack, little Frankie, and all the family. I'm so glad to see some improvement in Big Frankie. Schutz.

Oh!! Bensmum, I am so pleased to hear that Flossie is nearly back to normal. I've been praying so hard for her every night. I hope she continues to improve, please let me know how she gets on. Frankie is improving steadily, he's only eating very small amounts of food, but he's now feeding himself, and just stops when he's had enough. So I suppose that's good enough for now. I'll let you know how he gets on. I can't believe just how tough cats are, if that was a human going through what has happened to Flossie and Frankie, I don't think they would recover so well and as quickly. xxx Schutz.
Evening Schutz and all guardian ABer angels of Frankie's. What a joy it was to read tonight's update, it's just the best news that he's been feeding himself. Got a little worried when I read that he'd been grooming his scare but I suppose just a tiny little wash is granted by the vet as long as it isn't nervous licking? LOL@ ruthann's issy running out of petrol, and bensmum I'm happy to hear that Flossie is doing so much better so soon:-)
dont think it worked
Question Author
Good evening Swedeheart. Good to hear from you again. Don't worry it was just a little gentle wash that Frankie gave to his tummy. The scar looks to be healing well, and he looks quite a bit happier. He must be because he purred for the first time today. :-)
Ruthann's Issy sounds quite a character, doesn't she, I had to smile at the thought of her running out of petrol.
Hasn't Bensmum's Flossie done really well, I think everyone was really worried for her as strokes are usually very serious in cats. Well done to her. Will keep in touch. Love from Schutz.

Hi Ruth. Sadly the link didn't work. Do you think you could try again, I would love to see a photo of Issy. Cuddles to Issy, and love to you. Schutz.
Schutz you're right about 3 year olds. I've been explaining to Jack that it is unlikely either Frankie will be playing like a lamb but his reply is always you don't know it could happen!!!

Just so happy for you that Frankie is starting to improve - it's so worrying when a member of the family is ill or hurt. You just want to take the pain away and can't.

Hoep Frankie sleeps well tonight.xx
It is 0418 hrs on a cold Scottish morning and for some reason I am awake - furry alarms are incessant and annoying things.

I might have missed it but has Frankie done anything other than a pee? That would be an even better sign that he is getting better.

I read that you work in a bookshop - I volunteer in an Oxfam book shop (also selling books via ABE books) and I really enjoy it.

I am off to turf my little Frankie and Princess Merlin off my bed. I expect growls and other noises.

Good morning Cathy. Jack does seem to be a very intelligent little boy. Bless him and lots of love too.
Yes Frankie did have a good sleep last night, and has eaten half a packet of Whiskas this morning, all by himself, so that's a big improvement, and a rest for my back. Having to bend down to feed him in his basket, with a bib round his neck was a bit of a strain, but he's worth it. Much love. Schutz.
Schutz, apologies that never sent you an email yesterday or came on to AB at all so never even checked your thread. You were however very much in my prayers along with Frankie. Great to just read this very good news! Big big hugs to you from Bea , hubby + our dog :-)
I'm delighted Frankie's home Shultz , and well done to him for trying his food , big cuddles xxxxx

Hello Wolf. Four in the Morning, reminds me of a song I love, of that name by Faron Young. (country western), I was well in the land of nod at that time. I'll bet your Frankie and Princess Merlin were none too popular at that time of night, and I can just imagine the complaints when you tipped them of your bed. :-) No, Frankie hasn't managed a No.2 yet, vet said it could be 5-7 days, due to the high protein, low residue food he's had up until this morning. It's 7 days today, so perhaps with a bit of normal food there should be a result soon. It's so good that you enjoy volunteering for Oxfam, do you put the book descriptions on to abe, it's fascinating isn't it. Trouble is I could do with a bigger house as I keep buying books, it' so tempting as I'm an avid reader. I'll have to part with some of them one day as the bookcases are all bursting at the seams. Love Schutz.
