Frankie wasn't out 10 minutes this morning, and came in hopping on 3 legs, with a cut on his right front leg. Quick dash to the Vet. Cleaned up, antibiotic injection, and 5 day supply of antibiotic tablets. 30 is coming out of his pocket money. :-). Just got home, and in came Felix who had managed somehow to fall into a cow pat, and stank to high heaven. Trying to bath him was a nightmare, it was like trying to wash one of those Tasmanian Devils. I don't know who ended up the most exhausted me or him. A stiff drink was called for after that performance. Love them or what !!!

ohh what an eventful day u have had. Glad they are both ok now.

go and get that drink u certainly deserve it....:-)
I spend 75% of the time loving my cats and 25% wanting to strangle them.

How Felix, as an animal known for its grace and stealth, fell into the cow pat we will never know - but it would have been hilarious to watch.

Hope he smells better now.
lol. Aww bless.
LOL LOL if you tried to bath me, it would be like trying to bath a Comodo Dragon........although my kiss is not so deadly!!!!!...so they tell me. We have 2 really spoilt cats, Airborne and Lucy.......pain in the necks both of them.
Hi schutengal, what a day you had yesterday. Hope frankies feeling better. Poor felix, hope hes smelling alot fresher. Did you have that stiff drink. My poor old margo is now on an even sterner diet, she is not impressed and the end of the bed is suffering for it. Shes trying all the tricks she knows to get us up in the morning for breakfast.

Thanks everyone for your replies.
The stiff drink (purely medicinal of course) :-) certainly helped.
Frankie is feeling much better, but his leg and paw are still swollen, have it keep an eye on it.
Felix definitely smells more like a cat and less like a cow flop after his bath, brush, and comb; although he complained bitterly and loudly at the time.
All seems fairly peaceful at the moment. Tansy the 21yr old has taken to her bed in disgust, I don't think she's at all impressed with the antics of the two tom cats.
Madboutcats - why is Margo on a strict diet?
Sqad - didn't realise you had two cats - Lovely.
How did Airborne get his/her name. I have visions of the cat flying up the curtains, on top of the wardrobe, and anywhere else it can launch itself into its flying antics.
Cheers. Schutz.
Hope they are both feeling better now. I could have throttled Flossie (the deaf, old lady) this afternoon as I was trying to do some important paperwork and she kept yelling at me for food. I can't concentrate with her doing that so she knows she'll get something nice just to shut her up, artful old minx. yes, don't you just love 'em?
Hee hee

I tried to wash my now sadly departed Snoopy once. Never again! My hands resembled Freddie Kruggers face and the floor was flooded. He gave me the evil eye for ages after that! Lol
schutzengel.....both are strays and one day a very pregnat cat gave birth to six kittens on the terrace and the first one out was all grey.......the last grey to win the Derby was AIRBORNE.

We also do 2stints a week feeding 80 cats in a sanctuary.
We used to feed margo and cupar out of the same dish, cupar is just a picker while margo hoovers everything up, so she is now classed as overweight by the vets, and on a diet, she really is'nt impressed but its for her own good.

Oh Dear. I can imagine Margo is not a bit impressed. :-)

Sqad - I remember Airborne winning the Derby (just about).
Bless you for looking after all those cats. I wish there were more good-hearted people like you about, the world would be a much better place. Schutz.
