I pick my puppy up in 2 weeks and i am struggling for a name! She is a chocolate labrador and we don't know enough about her personality/habits to name her something to do with that. I was thinking along the chocolate line but not sure if that is a bit 'predictable'?
Please help!!

how about Claire, as in ChocolateyClaire!

I have to say, I've always liked human names for animals and would most likely choose Lizzy, or something like.

out of the above I would pick Coco.. lovely perfume :o)

Remember that you might sound a bit odd when shouting for her in the woods or wherever if she has an odd name. Why not go for something girlie...I also give my dogs real names! Call her something cute, like Lilly, or Millie or Lottie. My current Golden Retriver is called LuLu...started as Lottie and then was shortened to LuLu and she really suits it. Hope you enjoy her!
we have a brown spaniel named Hershey, after the american chocolate. good luck thinking of a name!
hazel
Our pets have 'real names' too.

Sometimes you can choose a name for a new pet and when the pet arrives another name just comes to you because it fits the new arrival so much better. I would have some names in mind and then just wait and see!!
turds are brown
Hi splurge,my 6 month old black lab is called Lottie and a friend's chocolate one is Pepper. Hope you have as much fun with your pup as I'm having with mine. She's a little star.I know about 3 called Coco but it's still a lovely name.
Hello Barb!!!!! Nice to see you. How is my little namesake?
Hi Lottie, she's doing brilliantly. No barking,no chewing and listens to everything I say...my little shadow! I love her to bits. She passed her puppy training top of the class. We're going on to Bronze in January (and then Silver and Gold if she likes it!) Sorry to splurge for hijacking your question.Have had no computer for 3 months so a bit behind on my news. Thanks Lottie for asking.
She sounds just lovely.

Can you post some pictures (on a new thread of course).

Hope you and your family and Lottie of course have a lovely Christmas xxxxxx
kola that would suit your puppy.
Call her either Whisky,Tawny,Sienna,Lola,Bella,Flakey,Meisha or Lady.
chocolate labrador.............yeh.........Squitty!
splurge have you picked a name yet ?
How about Buttons ... it has that seasonal Pantomime connection too. Have fun. I'm very sad and heavy hearted at the moment having lost my own beloved dog a couple of months ago, she was nearly fourteen. I miss her so much. I remember we waited a couple of days when we first picked her up as a puppy and got to know her, then named her. Merry Christmas to you and your new doggy.
