because their neck gets tired trying to reach the grass. Its the same principle when you are getting felatio and the woman gets a bit tired and resorts to hand relief.

Principally, goats are browsers so their anatomy is not ideally suited to grazing for a long time and kneeling will make it easier for them. Black Rhinos and wild pigs do the same when they find a lot of ground herbage.
