I'm sure a lot of you will know this but to those that don't, salt grit is toxic to a lot of animals. So if you have dogs and have been out walking them, wash their paws when you get home. Same applies for cats. I personally didn't know this. I've just seen message from local Vet on fb.

Yes its really bad we always wash the dogs paws after road walks and have started doing it after taking them down the park too as I was told at the weekend that they have started gritting the footpaths and carpark too!

God it's everywhere! Nightmare for dog owners...
Absolutely Patsy I put a bucket by the door so its the first thing we do as soon as we get in wash them off and dry then treat! lol spoilt devils

Thanks Patsy...good tip.
I'm keeping salt away from the bird table, where crumbs fall onto the patio, as salt is toxic to birds.
