males do get irritable on must; I'm surprised they didn't check this out first before shooting it. No reason why the victims should have realised it, though.

A while back I read about a woman who was surprised when a 'tame' lion attacked her when she was having her touristy picture taken with her. She was totally surprised by its actions.

If a domestic feline (5kg) will bite, scratch or both if its human doesn't obey a command. Did she think the big version was going to act differently.

Quite so wolf. I am surprised they let people who lack common sense any where near these wild animals. I feel sorry for the animals :(

I have to admit that there is a bit of me that would like to interact with some of these animals - wolves, gorillas, lions, tigers - avoiding the vicious and evil chimps at all costs.

Chimps, like humans, are cruel and nasty just because they feel like it. Cute babies though - chimps, not the humans.

BOO - they seem to have got that the wrong way around. The elephant lived there and the human trespasser should have been punished.
