My cat is still missing (if anyone was wondering), she hasn't been home since Saturday and we have pretty much given up hope now. We have done all the usual things like phoning vets and rescue places, put posters up in the village, spoken to neighbours and even advertised on web forums with no joy.

I met a lady in the park with her wee yappy Jack Russell - she was telling me he was missing for 6 months and turned up - she did say wherever he had been had been well looked after.
This is the very reason why, when people who don't have cats think if they see a cat around their back door it's a stray and perfectly acceptable to feed it.

It pains me when I read of this. They think they're doing a kindness without realising that the cat will take food from anyone if hungry and will continue to hang around.

If they want to do a kindness, dont feed it and let the local Vet know, now that would be far kinder.

i feel for you daffy. I have panicked when my cat has gone missing for less than a day as he is such a creature of habit, i can't imagine what you're going through.

I'll bet someone has unwittingly started to feed him. If that's the case he will make his way back to you. Fingers, toes and everything else crossed for you.
Hope she turns up soon. You must be really worried. Big hug.xx
Sorry to hear that. Do hope he turns up soon.
My next door neighbour's cat was found in one of their bedroom drawers. Don't know how she got in and closed it behind her tho'. Lol.
Oh dear..I do hope the best for you !

GREAT NEWS! :)

We have Pepper back. We found her 30 minutes ago locked in a neighbour's shed 3 doors away. We had asked this neighbour previously and she assured us the cat wasn't in her shed. We heard Pepper meowing when out looking for her again and my other half jumped the back gate and rescued her. She is very thirsty and hungry and quite distressed but seems otherwise fine. :))

Thank you all so much for your kind words today, it really helped me to feel hopeful, which is why we went out looking again.
Great stuff daffy, she'll soon be back to normal.
So so happy for you ....open the elmlea for kitty !
That's really wonderful news Yay!!! i've been following this thread but had nothing better to wish you than had already been said. You must be thrilled.
Whoopee - great news. I hope she left a few messages in your neighbour's shed.
I have just had a nap and my first thought when I woke up was about poor wee Pepper. I am so glad that she is home and isn't injured. I bet she is hungry and very glad to be home.
