please post all your sightings here... giving as good a description of the location as possible. I will update from the birding sites if anyone has any
special areas of interest might be worth putting the bird species in uppercase at the start of the post to help us spot stuff of interest

When it is updated this site is good

I can pick up a lot of national stuff from the local area forums
That's good. Is this a sticky thing?
Waxwings reported at Nuneaton and at Erdington yesterday, according to Birdnet Website ! They are getting closer Rowan ! :-)
We've got waxwings in Sheffield.....yayyyyy
Scarborough Birders regularly put sightings on the site already Rowan. I guess many individuals do it through the local birding group.
How do we know whether it's rare or not - I saw a couple of woodpeckers in Twickenham last weekend.

thinking of the site members who don't belong to the groups but would like to pop out to see something local... Best way to tell if something is rare(ish) or not if it isn't in a 'birds in your garden/life on the seashore type book
Waxwings reported on the Great Orme, Llandudno this morning, but no further reports of any in the West Midlands
We've got plenty here Redman :-))))) http://www.sbsg.org/sightings/recent-news
Hi carrust !
There must be a very good Birding Group around Sheffield as there are far more reports of Waxwings than is being reported around the West Midlands area, Birmingham in particular.
Can you send some down here ! :-))))
Redman. When waxwings find a classy place they tend to stay...LOL
Waxwings: 50-100 in the B&Q car park, Llandudno, today...wonderful :)
Firecrests: 3 definites, 4 probables, at Conway RSPB, today. If it's defo 4 it could mean two breeding pairs, which would be marvellous.
Apparently, if you shove apples on garden canes it'll attract waxwings.
Unfortunately none in Brum yet, we are all envious of all your sightings !
Saw Waxwings in Bangor 2 Years ago, but only 3
Hello. Two waxwings at Orlingbury and nine reported in Northampton Homebase..guess they mean the carpark.
Ah yes....the Sixfields car park.
Some interesting stuff here :

I'm a Warwickshire Wildlife member, so can get into Brandon NR for free - wonder if the solitary waxwing is still there?

PS : just treated myself to some 'walking around' binocs - very, very good
