There seems to be quite a lot of news (in the UK at least) regarding unusual sightings of exotic birds, blown thousands of miles off course, in recent storms.

Anyone spotted any ?

Also, I wonder if they manage to find their way back to where they was going.

Waxwings are some what rare in the Brum area:-)
Carrust hides them in his Hen House and lets them out every winter just to annoy the Brummies !!! lol lol

With the huge veg carrust cultivates, it beats my how he finds the time, Redman!
I saw an osprey once at Abberton reservoir, completely off course. It even made the local evening news. It was quite amusing because a flock of crows tried to mug it to make it drop the fish it was carrying in its beak.
You forgot to mention that the veg are prize winners, chippy ;-)
on 31st oct near Streatley, Beds, saw a Great grey Shrike whilst doing BTO Thrush survey. Apparently it overwintered in the same area last year.
