Most of the dog walkers I meet locally have got rescue dogs, either from the pound or a rehoming association.
I met five today, including an albino JRT. He was a cutie.

We have a rescue Wolfhound and 9 rescue chickens, I also used to run a ferret rescue service, at one point I even had a lamb living in out front room with the dogs after it was attacked by a fox. Im sure when we sell our house (its on the market) and buy land we will certainly be taking in rescue animals.

All my dogs have been rescues or foundlings, but that's another story. Goats and donkeys too.

Shortly after I moved here, I found a cat sitting on one of the beds. She adopted me, and thanked me by peeing all over my work papers.

I like it!

I think we often forget just how much our pets have rescued us, physically and emotionally.
He snuggled up to me during my darkest hours, ratter, offering his unconditional love.
My daughter has 4 rescue dogs, and the latest who was about to be put down adores her, he's even beginning to think we're ok
They say a home is not a home without a waggy welcome.
Cat is rescue, dog is not.
I know NoM, totally loyal, mind you one of hers is a clever manipulater but adorable with it
Tony?
my 3 puddy tats are waifs and strays......my eldest was found on my birthday 12 years ago. she was clearly living outdoors, covered in fleas and ticks and was so skinny. i took her home and loved her....and she has loved us all back. my middle puss was rescued from someone who was overrun with cats....she was one of 13. 3 years on, she still pigs food like it is going out of fashion and demands love quite violently and it is given in spades. my littlest moggie was also a foundling. my friend kept feeding her for a couple of weeks and despite searching, no owner was found. as she had dogs, we took her into our home. she is like a little baby and comes to bed with us every night. she hates being left alone and needs lots of cuddles. all three of our cats rule our roost.....but we wouldn't have it any other way. they are all loved and i'm proud to have rescued them....as they are now an integral part of our family x
Oh Alfie knows how to put it on too, Sibo. You should have seen his shameless and pathetic behaviour tonight over my Dad's lamb curry...
Tony ?, what sibo.
my cats enjoyed a bit of leftover stew. they loved all the meat and veg in gravy x
NoM, Alfie is her no.1 dog and the oldest, I dread the day when he passes on
Cat is rescue, dog is not.
