I know that I have brought this matter up before, but for some strange reason it was put up to be voted upon, and of course being suggested by myself it was defeated by the anti-AOG brigade.

But this time I am asking the Editor if she would consider making it possible for one to press on a selected 'LATEST POSTS' and then to be sent to that particular latest post and not to the beginning of the thread, which in
some cases can be as many as a hundred or more posts from the latest one?

Yes I know one can go on further and press on the 'LAST' button, but why the need when one can go directly to the latest post at the touch of one button?

What would satisfy a pedant like me world simply be to change the heading to
“Latest topics with posts” and then you would be taken to where it says on the tin ;-)
I'd like to see the number of posts on a thread although that's another matter. (before I'm told to start my own thread, :-))
Isn't the number of posts on a thread at the top and bottom on each page already?

/// Is it not possible to have both choices? On "Recent posts" you can either go to the beginning or the end directly. Can that be done on "latest" too? ///

No need to, as I have already pointed out, if one wants to go to the beginning of a thread one only has to choose the news section or any other subject section, and then scroll down the various threads, choose the one you are interested in and click on that and it takes one to the beginning.
It's not in Latest Posts, jim. It's a good guide to threads that became interesting .
Oh, I see what you mean then.

All I can say is that "Latest Posts" is clearly meant to be a quick summary: loads of post information is available on the main page.
