Ok I referred the unmentionable to our web techies, they are “Blue Coat” this is their response:
“This is a problem with the webad on the specific site, and not with the shopping site itself. Could you submit the URL of the ad/site where the ad is present?”
So they are saying the only way to block this is by blocking AB itself. Now I know that also the other unmentionable that I have at home also works. AB can you check the “webad”??

Still doing it and I am certain It's that naffing orange Ali X ad. When that ad isn't their it works. It's the only common thing, I see that orange ad, often distorted and wallop the curse is upon us. ED why can you not expunge that and anything relating to it? Ok so they paid for an ad but they have mangled the site. Get them to cleans their ad.
TTT Are you only using Firefox or do you use other browsers? Have you tried opening AB in IE for example?
I gave up Firefox when they made a big change a few months ago, because I had so many issues.
Question Author
yes tried all the browsers
Question Author
this is clearly and inject site link in that ali X ad. AB just needs to block that, end of.

I don't understand all this. I go on AB quite often on my iPad and have never had a problem with this ad ( whatever it is). Are iPads immune?

My iPad and iPhone have never been affected. I have not seen any reports of it occurring on any mobile device (I did ask on the other thread).
It is a hard one to figure out.
no issues on my lappie at all..win 10 and chrome... but...I do have the unmentionable...shhhh....
minty; ^^ That's a different unmentionable :0)
indeedy !!

The problem is now known but no one on AB will tell me why they cannot simply remove all traces of Ali Express.

TTT the Eds are aware and you're now being a bit rude about it. It's clearly more complex than you're making out.
TTT, I just deleted your other thread on the same subject. Does it really look like we're not doing everything we can to get rid of this thing?

We have been getting rid of the ads one provider at a time to find the culprit. There should now be no ads on the site, and no sign of the unmentionable. If there are any more problems let me know, but there should be no ads in sight.

We're also working on putting measures in place on the ads to prevent them from redirecting the page to another website. This should be in place soon.

We're going to start putting the ads back on bit by bit, apart from the offending provider, and working with them to get the problem resolved once and for all.
Question Author
not rude, frustrated perhaps, I just wish they'd come right out and say what the position is. From considerable experience I can now say that if I see the Ali Express ad then the unmentionable pops up. That is 1000000% the issue.
TTT, The ab Editor has explained what is being done above ^^^.Have a bit of patience,
I don't suppose the slow progress is anything to do with wearing the wrong colour of coat?
Question Author
sorry our answers crossed. Ed I still see the orange Ali Express ad when I do the unmentionable pops up. Is there something that I should do at this end?
lol TTT your supposed to be working not on here ...but i understand your frustration..its doing my head in everyday seeing these type of threads yet it doesn't affect me at all
I'm not having any trouble with it but thank you, Ab Editor, for trying to resolve it.
