Magpie v Fox

This morning at 5.30am we were wakened by a furious magpie chatter. Looking out of the window we saw a magpie harrying a fox who offered no resistant but allowed himself to be chased off the scene....

Darkness phobia

Better than Chrismas!

Tree Sparrows

We have a small mixed woodland above the sea cliffs and tree sparrows have recently moved in. Previously it was the regular haunt of goldfinch and similar but have not seen tree sparrow in 30+ years...

Parralel port printer to laptop?

I rebuilt an old Epsom 440 printer which runs v. economically on bottle ink from my old desktop machine. Can it be run from a modern laptop which doesn't have a parallel port connection?

Flaky skin in dogs
