Immobiliser on Peugeot 206

After disconnecting the battery and replacing the engine on my 206 the immobiliser will not reset so cannot start the car. Any ideas please.

Compatible Engines?

Does anyone know if a 1.8 TD escort engine is compatible with the early Focus 1.8 TD. Is the block and head the same? Not worried about the engine mountings as long as block and head are the same.
