How to blank a plug socket

Hi. I'm coverting a bedroom into a bathroom. The only thing I am unsure of is how to blank the old sockets. Before it is said it will be checked by an electrician and signed off after. Please help

removing silicone sealant

i have stupidly let silicone cure on the paintwork around my windscreen while repairing a water leak. Is there any silicone remover available that would remove silicone without damaging paintwork?
