Hi,

What do you find best?.......

Shave, wax or Immac/Veet?

I'm having major probs at the mo - shaving seems to be making my legs REALLY dry and doesn't last long, waxing hurts like hell and still only lasts for about a week or two and I can't use the creams coz I'm allergic!!! :(

What do you find best?

I always shave. It means I dont have to suffer inches of re-growth! But my legs dry out too so I always moisturise with cocoa-butter straight after. It leaves them soft as silk.
Totally know how you feel, I got so fed up shaving everytime I was in the shower, it was like I was in there for forever what with everything else you need to do too! I've now changed to using a depilator, you know the shaver like thing that yanks the hairs out (think lots of mini tweezers!). Okay so it sounds like hell, but I've found it works for me. It lasts quite a while, and cause your plucking the hairs out from the root when it starts to grow back it seems finer. It's a bit uncomfortable at first, but you get used to it, I suppose it kind of reminds me of pins and needles. Still shave under my arms though, ouch would be too painful there me thinks! Good luck finding something that your happy with.
I've been having my legs/bikini line waxed for the past few years and although I agree that it doesn't last all that long, the hairs that grow back are much lighter and smoother. And I am getting quite big patches now where hair doesn't grow back. Like rhona, couldn't even consider my armpits though, I continue to shave there!
Silky mits are good you can buy them from superdrug about 99p for 3, you just rub your legs in a circular motion and it kinda exfoliates the hair off, and you can always put some mosturiser or baby oil on afterwards to make your skin soft.
Listen andrea, leave em fluffy it will help keep you warm in the winter, I don't shave my legs at all and nobody says anything. Ray

rofl, i'd turn into a gorilla.....really dark hair!! =:-p

Thanks for the answers - think I'll perservere witht the shaving and find a better moisturiser!! My skin is SOOO sensitive so that can be harder than you migt think - I'm allergic to everything (even baby stuff & stuff especially for sensitive skin!)!!!

..use the king of shave pre shaving spray oil, it's in a small blue bottle, available at boots, leaves your legs silky smooth....
first of all get yourself a guys razor. When my ex moved out I nabbed his razor and I was totally amazed how much better the shave was plus the blades are often cheaper or on offer. I use conditioner instead of shaving gel/oil/foam and slather on Superdrug's Cocoa body moisturiser afterwards.

I really liked Morrisonker suggestions. Will try that tomorrow.

I find that shaving my legs is fine - nice and quick - and yes, the hair does grow much thinner. I used to do every two weeks but went back to shaving. Will start again cos of summer.

I really enjoyed going to the saloon to do my armpits but it kinda gets too expensive. Tryed waxing at home but was a disaster - I had bruised armpits! so went back to shaving.

I've also tried my biquini line - painfull! I mean, really painfull! I got little bumps in it afterwards, it was ingrown hair. Then I asked my b/friend at the time to help me - same agony but it is easier if someone else pulls it - but got the same bumps again. Now I shave every three days and is always looking good :)
